June 15, 2013 ---   The official NWS low temperature this morning at Natchitoches, La. was 68.0 degrees..Yesterday's high was 91.1 degrees.  A cold front passage occurred yesterday afternoon.  A less humid air mass was felt this morning (June 15th)  along with a mostly clear morning sky.  Some high clouds were observed to the NE, E, & SE sky.  At 8:00 AM CDT, the temperature was 73 degrees, a mostly clear sky observed, wind NE at  3 mph and barometer at 30.01" hg.  At 12 PM CDT, the sky was partly sunny (cirrus clouds above), wind was SE at 6 mph and barometer at 30.02" hg.  At 1:00 PM CDT, the sky was partly sunny, temperature was 86 degrees, wind was from the SSE (150 degrees) at 3 MPH (3 KT)  and barometeric pressure at 30.01" hg.   During the evening hours of  5 PM to 9 PM CDT, the sky was clear with a light SE wind to a calm wind prevailing. At 6 pm CDT, the sky was clear, temperature at 88 degrees, wind was E at 8 mph and barometer at 29.93"hg.   At 7:00 PM CDT, the sky was clear and the temperature was 87 degrees and wind was E at 5 mph, and barometer at 29.92" hg.  At  8:20 PM CDT, the temperature was 86 degrees and a clear sky.   At 9:20 PM CDT, the sky was mostly clear with increasing high clouds from the SW & W sky. June 14, 2013 ---- The sky was mostly clear this morning.  There were a few passing clouds during the morning hours.  The official high temperature yesterday was 93 degrees for the City of Natchitoches, La.  This morning's low temperature for the city was 76.2 degrees.   At 10:00  AM CDT, the temperature was 85.6 degrees, mostly clear sky (some haze), wind was from the NW (310 degrees) at 6 MPH (5 KT) and barometeric pressure (altimeter) at 29.96 in. Hg (1014 hPa).   At 11:00 AM CDT, the temperature was86.9 degrees or 87 degrees, mostly clear, some haze and few clouds observed, wind NW 6 mph and barometer at 29.97" Hg.   An afternoon cold front passage occurred which moved from NE to SW across the area bringing slightly less humid air mass.  The front caused the wind to blow from the NE & E.  The afternoon sky was partly cloudy.  The official NWS high temperature for Natchitoches reached 91.1 degrees.  No rainfall was recorded today.  The evening sky was mostly clear, with some high thin clouds observed.  At 8:00 PM, the temperature was 84.3 degrees and a mostly clear sky observed. June 10, 2013 ---- The morning sky was clear.  Winds were light to near calm.  The morning low was 65.4 degrees today.  At 8:00 AM CDT, the temperature was 71.9 degrees, clear sky, barometer 29.99" and the wind was calm.  Skies became partly cloudy during the 10:00 AM CDT hour and remained partly cloudy during the afternoon and evening hours.  The sky was partly cloudy at 9 PM CDT and a calm wind prevailed. Winds were light  (3-4 MPH) or calm during the 8-11 PM CDT hours.   High pressure was beginning to build in from the western states of New Mexico and Nevada.  Strong high pressure aloft prevailed in those areas and was drifting towards the State of Louisiana.  No rainfall was recorded today.

Hg (1013 hPa).  After 9:30 AM, the sky was partly sunny to mostly overcast. A thunderstorm began at 4:49 PM CDT with 0.03" of rain being recorded from this rain event. At 4:49 PM, rain began.  At 4:54 PM CDT, a thunderstorm was observed with lightning,thunder & rain. The evening sky remained cloudy to about 9:00 PM CDt, then the sky was mostly cloudy. At 5:00 PM CDT, rain was observed and the temperature was 74 degrees. At 7:00 PM CDT, the temperature was 73.1 degrees and cloudy sky.
