Coldest Air Of New Season Felt At Natchitoches Today...
Nov. 13, 2013 --- A strong Canadian arctic cold front passage yesterday brought the coldest night last night to Natchitoches.  With a clear sky prevailing, the official National Weather Service low temperature fell to 29°F.  The sky was cloudy until afternoon yesterday and the highest official temperature for the City was 57.  The strong high pressure center (1041MB) was located over extreme northeast (NE) Arkansas drifting eastward.  The Natchitoches afternoon sky was clear, beautiful blue today.  At 2:17 PM CST, 49.6 degrees was the temperature at Natchitoches with a clear sky and N, NE wind observed.  At 3 PM CST, the official temperature was 50.0 degrees,  wind from the NE (050 degrees) at 7 MPH (6 KT) and  barometeric pressure (altimeter) at 30.5 in. Hg (1032 hPa).  No rainfall was observed today due to a very dry air mass.  Here's the official NWS data for Natchitoches, Louisiana:
