...THE SECOND WINTER STORM IN LESS THAN A WEEK RESULTS IN SNOW AND SLEET ACCUMULATIONS AGAIN ACROSS THE SOUTHERN PORTIONS OF THE FOUR STATE REGION...
ANOTHER ARCTIC COLD FRONT MOVED INTO THE REGION MONDAY...JANUARY 27TH...RESULTING IN VERY COLD AND MUCH BELOW NORMAL TEMPERATURES ACROSS THE SOUTHERN PLAINS AND GULF COAST REGION.  AN UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE MOVING ATOP THIS VERY COLD AIR MASS RESULTED IN AREAS OF SNOW...SLEET...AND FREEZING RAIN ACROSS DEEP EAST TEXAS AND THE SOUTHERN SECTIONS OF NORTHCENTRAL LOUISIANA EARLY THIS MORNING...FOR THE SECOND TIME IN LESS THAN A WEEK. THE WINTRY MIX WAS MORE PREDOMINANT OVER DEEP EAST TEXAS...WITH SNOW THE MORE DOMINANT PRECIPITATION TYPE ACROSS THE SOUTHERN SECTIONS OF NORTHCENTRAL LOUISIANA. THE PRECIPITATION ENDED
AROUND MID MORNING WEDNESDAY...RESULTING IN MAINLY LIGHT SNOWFALL ACCUMULATIONS ACROSS THE REGION.
