March 3, 2014 ---- A trace amount snowfall event at Natchitoches, La. Snowfall occurred from 6:24 AM CST to about 10:45 AM. Snow depth at
8:00 AM was an official National Weather Service measured trace amount. The high temperature was 33.8 or 34°F. The sky was cloudy for most the morning and afternoon, becoming mostly overcast during the evening around 5:30 PM. A trace of precipitation was recorded
at Natchitoches today. A N/NE wind prevailed today.

March 2, 2014 --- A cold front passed through Natchitoches at 7:10 PM this evening. Temperatures were warm in the 70s for most of the day. The cold front abruptly veered the wind to blow from the NW. Wind gusts from the NW at 36-42 mph were observed during the 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. hours this evening. Rain showers developed during the 7 p.m. hour. Distant lightning and thunder was also observed from the W, NW, N, NE.

By 4 p.m., the sky was partly cloudy or partly sunny. The maximum temperature recorded by the National Weather Service today for Natchitoches reached 78°F. It was a mostly cloudy evening.
