Feb. 4, 2011 Ice glaze weather event at Natchitoches, La.
An ice glaze,  freezing rainfall  event began at Natchitoches on the evening of Feb. 3 and continued  through Feb. 4, 2011.   Freezing rain fell during the morning on Feb. 4.   Ice glaze accumulation from this event through 8 am on Feb. 4 was  0.12 to 0.35 inches.   Icing occurred on all  outdoor objects including power lines, fences and lawn chairs.  The temperature was in the upper 20's to lower 30's during this ice glaze event.  This picture was taken in the downtown area at 10:00 am cst on Feb. 4, 2011:
