Feb. 22, 2014 ---- A mostly sunny day with some passing high clouds.  No precipitation occurred today.  No frost was observed today.  Yesterday's high temperature officially National Weather Service made it to 62.7 degrees or 63 degrees.   This morning's official NWS low temperature for Natchitoches was 38.9 or 39 degrees.  At 11 a.m. today the wind was blowing from the SE direction, an overcast sky (highs clouds) and a temperature of 58.5 or 59 degrees was observed.  At 1:00 PM, the sky was mostly overcast with some sunshine, wind was ESE at 5 MPH and the temperature was 64.2 degrees.

Feb. 21, 2014 ---- A mostly sunny day with some passing high clouds.  No precipitation occurred today.  Frost was observed this morning on dwelling rooftops.  The evening hours had a calm to light wind and the sky was partly cloudy.  The wind prevailed from the NE and E today.

Feb. 20, 2014 ---  An overcast day with thunderstorm and rain showers developing during the afternoon in advance of a cold front that was located in East Texas by 1:00 p.m.  Thunderstorms were observed during the 5 p.m. hour and at 5:11 p.m. with lightning and light rain observed.  All the rain activity ended by 7 p.m.  The cold front passed thru Natchitoches during the 8 p.m. hour.  Breezy, gusty NW winds of 36-40 m.p.h. occurred during the 9 PM to 11 PM hours.  Rainfall from the earlier storm today was an official National Weather Service amount of 0.04 inches at Natchitoches.  Stronger thunderstorms in Natchitoches Parish today were located at Chestnut, 9 miles north of Campti, just NW of Ajax and an evening thunderstorm was located just south of Derry, Louisiana in southern Natchitoches Parish, La. today.
