A stormy early Sunday morning at Natchitoches..
June 2, 2013 -- Showers and thunderstorms began about 2:00 AM CDT in the City of Natchitoches.  The storms formed out in advance of a cold front, which would pass thru Natchitoches before noon.    The early morning storm produced a lot of distant lightning strikes.  Official rainfall from the morning storms at Natchitoches for the 24-hour period ending at 8:00 AM CDT amounted to 0.64".   Morning skies were cloudy to mostly cloudy.  Cloudiness decreased during the afternoon.  Skies were partly sunny during the 5:00 PM CDT hour.  A clear sky or mostly clear sky prevailed after 8:30 PM CDT at Natchitoches.
