June 6, 2013 --- It was a rainy, stormy morning at Natchitoches, Louisiana.  A thunderstorm began at 6:07 AM CDT...rain ending about 7:55 AM CDT and re-developed during the 9:00 AM CDT.  The 6:00 AM hour thunderstorms tracked in a SE direction.  Some heavy rainfall occurred with these morning thunderstorms at Natchitoches.  Breezy, gusty thunderstorms winds of 38-42 mph occurred with the 6:00 AM CDT thunderstorms at Natchitoches, along with frequent lightning causing power outages.   The official NWS high yesterday for Natchitoches was 90 degrees and the low this morning was 63 degrees.  1.60" of rainfall occurred at Natchitoches for the official NWS total thru 8:00 AM CDT today.    Here's today's official rainfall summary from the National Weather Service:

A stormy, rainy day observed at Natchitoches, La. on June 6, 2013:
At 9:05 AM CDT, light rain observed and temperature at 66.1 degrees.  At 11:30 AM CDT today, a thunderstorm was observed at Natchitoches, La. , the temperature at 68.6 degrees,  wind was from the SSE (150 degrees) at 3 MPH (3 KT) and barometeric pressure (altimeter) at 29.91 in. Hg (1012 hPa).  At 12:00 PM CDT, rain was observed, temperature at 69 degrees, wind from the SSE (150 degrees) at 3 MPH (3 KT) and barometer pressure (altimeter) at 29.89 in. Hg (1012 hPa).  At 12:04 PM CDT, lightning & thunder, rain observed.  The rain ended by 1:00 PM CDT. At 2:00 PM CDT, the temperature was 71 degrees, overcast sky, wind was from the N (350 degrees) at 12 MPH (10 KT) and barometeric pressure (altimeter) was at 29.82 in. Hg (1009 hPa). At 3:30 PM CDT, the sky became mostly cloudy with some sunshine.  At 4:00 PM CDT, the sky was mostly cloudy and the temperature was 77.0 degrees.  At 5:30 PM, the sky was cloudy again (no rain) but rain showers were moving in from East Texas. A steady rainfall commenced at Natchitoches at 6:53 PM CDT. Rain continued during the 7 PM hour.
