May 16, 2013 ---- A cloudy morning sky with periods of light rain showers was observed today at Natchitoches.  During the 12 PM CDT, the clouds parted somewhat to become at partly sunny sky.
During the 3:00 PM CDT hour, the sky became mostly cloudy.  A hail producing severe, lone  thunderstorm moved over north Natchitoches Parish, La. (Campti, Black Lake areas) during the 4 PM hour.  No rainfall occurred at Natchitoches from this storm.  The storm moved into eastern Winn Parish, La. and dissipated just SE of the City of Winnfield, La. The evening sky at Natchitoches was mostly cloudy.  At 7:00 PM CDt, the temperature was 78.5° a mostly cloudy sky, wind was from the SSW (200 degrees) at 9 MPH (8 KT) and barometer pressure (altimeter) was 29.83 in.
