May 2, 2013 ---  A cloudy sky prevailed today.  At 8:00 AM CDT, the sky was cloudy, temperature at 63.3°F, wind was from the NNE (020 degrees) at 8 MPH (7 KT) and barometeric pressure (altimeter) at 29.98 in. Hg (1015 hPa). Official NWS  24-hour rainfall amount for the City  ending at 8 AM today was 0.01" from passing rain showers yesterday caused by a low pressure  system spinning located over east central Louisiana at 10:00 PM CDT.  At 9:30 AM CDT, the sky was cloudy, temperature at 65.1°F.  At 11:00 AM CDT, the sky remained cloudy, temperature 66.7°F,  Wind was from the N (360 degrees) at 9 MPH (8 KT) and barometeric pressure (altimeter): 30.02 in. Hg (1016 hPa).  At 1:30 PM CDT, the sky was cloudy, temperature at 67.9°F, the wind was from the N (350 degrees) at 12 MPH (10 KT) gusting to 16 MPH (14 KT) and the barometeric pressure (altimeter): 30.01 in. Hg (1016 hPa).  Skies remained cloudy during the evening hour.  At 7 PM CDT, the temperature was 66.3°F and a cloudy sky was observed.  A strong cold front passage occurred about 8:04 PM CDT with rain showers during the 8 PM CDT.  Mist, drizzle and rain was observed today at Natchitoches.  At 8:55 PM, the wind was from the NW (310 degrees) at 16 MPH (14 KT) gusting to 30 MPH (26 KT).  At 9:15 PM CDT, the wind was from the NW (320 degrees) at 21 MPH (18 KT) gusting to 28 MPH (24 KT).  Yesterday's official National Weather Service high temperature for the City of Natchitoches, La. was 78°F and this morning's low temperature was 63°F as evidenced in the below weather summary from the NWS:
