July 19, 2013 -- The sky was partly cloudy today but an overcast prevailed during the evening hour especially after 7:00 PM CDT due to vicinity thunderstorm and rain showers clouds. Towering clouds were observed during the afternoon hours at Natchitoches.   No rainfall was observed today in the City.  The US Drought Monitor placed Natchitoches Parish, La. , including the City of Natchitoches, La. in a D1 abnormally dry status in their July 16th update.  It was another humid summer day today observed as well in the area today.  Here are today's weather data numbers in a weather summary from the National Weather Service in Shreveport, La.  for the City of Natchitoches, La.:
