July 27, 2013 --- The early morning was stormy with frequent lightning to the NW-N-NE during the 12 AM  to 3 AM CDT hours.  A thunderstorm occurred during the 3 AM CDT hour with very heavy rainfall at 3:04 AM CDT and frequent cloud to ground lightning.  The rainfall from these early morning thunderstorms amounted to 2.43 inches as the official rainfall amount for the City of Natchitoches, La. for the past 24-hour period ending at 8:00 AM CDT today.   Light rain occurred today at 8:33 AM CDT and some drizzle occurred this morning also.  A cold front passage occurred today. Skies were cloudy most of the day but became mostly cloudy to cloudy during the 5-6  PM CDT hours.  By 8 PM CDT, the sky was clear, temperature 73.9 degrees, wind was from the N (010 degrees) at 3 MPH (3 KT) and barometeric  pressure (altimeter) at 29.93 in.
