September 7, 2013 ----  The sky was partly cloudy today with a trace amount of rainfall being observed.  A very light rain shower with movement west was observed at 6:29 PM CDT, producing a trace amount of rainfall.  The evening sky was partly cloudy during the 7:00 PM CDT with a light to calm wind observed.   The evening hours sky was partly cloudy to mostly clear.  Strong high pressure aloft controlled Natchitoches' weather at least from Sept. 5-7th, with the center of the high pressure found over the Rocky Mountains at Colorado  for the past several days.  Here's  are today's official data numbers for Natchitoches, La. from the National Weather Service:
