September 4, 2013 -- The morning sky was clear to  partly cloudy ( by the 9:00 AM CDT hour).  At 8:00 AM CDT,  the wind was calm, temperature at 73.4 degrees and the sky was clear. No rainfall occurred today.  The National Weather Service highest temperature recorded officially at  Natchitoches, La. was 96.8°F  or 97°F  as evidenced by the National Weather Service report below.  
At 3:59 PM CDT yesterday, the sky was partly cloudy and it was 96.3 degrees.  By 5:27 PM CDT, the temperature had fallen to 89.4 degrees after a light rain shower had ceased.  Yesterday, at 6:00 PM CDT, the sky was partly cloudy and the temperature was 82.4 degrees.  A light to calm wind prevailed the evening of Sept. 3, 2013.
On Sept. 4, 2013, at 12:03 PM CDT, the sky was partly cloudy, hazy, temperature at 86.7 degrees, wind SE at 5 mph and barometeric pressure (altimeter) at 30.06 in.
