August 2, 2013 --- For Natchitoches, today was partly cloudy, hot and humid with the 3 PM CDT hour heat index 105 to 107 degrees. A NWS heat advisory was in effect today. During the 5 PM CDT hour high clouds pass overhead moving southward.  The wind was light during the afternoon.  After 7:30 PM CDT, the wind was calm to near calm and a partly cloudy sky prevailed with high cirrus clouds passing southward.
