August 1, 2013 -- The first day of August 2013 was a hot day with the afternoon heat index value rising in the  105-110 degree range.  It was mix of sun and clouds today, but no rainfall was recorded today.  The sky was partly cloudy most of the day today and clear or mostly clear after 7:00 PM CDT.  A clear evening sky was observed after 7:30 PM CDT.  The sky was clear during the 9 PM CDT hour with a near calm to calm wind prevailing.  A National Weather Service heat advisory was in effect today for Natchitoches Parish.  Here's today's official NWS Natchitoches, La. weather data numbers for today:
