August 9, 2013 ---- The morning sky was clear today.  No rainfall occurred today.  The official National Weather Service lowest temperature this morning at Natchitoches, La. was 74.1 F degrees.  A south and/or southeast wind prevailed this morning.  At 8 AM CDT today, the sky was clear, wind was calm and barometer at 29.96 inches. A National Weather Service heat advisory was in effect today and this evening for the City of Natchitoches, as well as north Louisiana.  At 3 PM CDT, the heat index was at 106.3 F (41.3 C), partly cloudy sky, pressure (altimeter) at 29.93 in. Hg (1013 hPa)and wind from the ENE (060 degrees) at 6 MPH (5 KT).  At 4:00 PM CDT, it was hot, temperature at 93.4 degrees, the sky was partly sunny, heat index at 106 degrees and barometeric pressure (altimeter) at 29.89 in.
