Rainy Thursday at Natchitoches
April 11, 2013 -- Heavy rainfall occurred from 9 PM-11:59 PM on April 10, 2013 with periods of rain showers and thunderstorms some having heavy rainfall amounts at Natchitoches, Louisiana during April 10-11, 2013. A strong cold front passage occurred at 7:15 PM CDT on Apr. 10 dropping the temperature 34.9 degrees during the evening from the official NWS high of 81°F (occurring the afternoon of Apr. 10) to 46.1°F observed at 11:59 PM CDT on Apr. 10th.
Thunderstorms with frequent lightning was observed during the 10:00 PM & 11:00 PM CDT hours of Apr. 10. Rain continued into the morning hours of April 11, 2013.   At 8:00 AM CDT on Apr. 11, rain was observed, temperature was an official NWS reading of 43.2°F, barometer 29.86" and wind NW at 10 MPH for the City of Natchitoches, La.
At 10:00 AM CDT on April 11, 2013 at Natchitoches, La. the temperature was a chilly 42.4° with light rain observed.  The wind was from the N (350 degrees) at 10 MPH (9 KT) and the pressure (altimeter) was 29.87 in. Hg (1011 hPa).  At 12:00 PM CDT today, Apr. 11th, light rain was observed, temperature was 44.5°F, wind was from the SSE (160 degrees) at 3 MPH (3 KT) and the barometeric pressure (altimeter): 29.85 in. Hg (1010 hPa). 

Skies became mostly cloudy during 1:00 PM CDT hour
at Natchitoches, La. on April 11, 2013.  Thunderstorms were located in the New Orleans metro area and most of SE Louisiana today during the noon hour.

The sky became mostly cloudy (partial clearing) with some sunshine during the 1:00 PM CDT hour and by 1:51 PM, a mostly cloudy sky prevailed.  The temperature at 1:52 PM was 49.1°F.  The wind was from the WNW (300 degrees) at 15 MPH (13 KT) gusting to 18 MPH (16 KT) and the barometeric pressure (altimeter) was 29.85 in. Hg (1010 hPa).  At 2:00 PM CDT, Natchitoches, La. temperature was 49.6°F, wind was from the NW (320 degrees) at 15 MPH (13 KT) gusting to 22 MPH (19 KT) and barometeric pressure (altimeter): 29.83 in. Hg (1010 hPa).  Skies were clear by 3:00 PM CDT making for a beautiful, blue clear sky afternoon and evening at Natchitches.  The late afternoon and evening hours had a clear sky.  The high temperature late this afternoon made it 59.8°F.
