Abnormally Chilly Weather At Natchitoches, La. For This Time Of Year....

April 4, 2013 ---  An overcast sky morning prevailed. The official NWS maximum temperature for Natchitoches, La. during the past 24-hr. period ending at 8 AM CDT today is 47.2°.  The temperature at 8:00 AM CDT was a chilly 42.4° for this time of year.  Past 24-hour precipitation ending at 8 AM CDT today was 0.06".  At 9:00 AM CDT, the temperature was 42.9° and the wind was from the NNW (340 degrees) at 6 MPH (5 KT).  The afternoon was overcast and chilly temperatures in the 40's prevailed!!  At 3:00 PM CDT, the temperature was 45.5°F and the sky was cloudy at Natchitoches, La.  The normal high for today's date at Natchitoches should be near 74°F or 75°F.  At 3:00 PM, skies were clearing over central Texas and regional temperatures shown in the below graphic.  Skies remained overcast during the evening.  At 5 PM CDT, there was cloudy sky and 45.4°F.  At 6:00 PM CDT, a cloudy sky and  the temperature was 45.5°F.  At 8:30 PM CDT, the sky remained cloudy and the temperature was 45.3°F.  During the afteroon and evening the wind prevailed to blow from the NW or NNW gusting up to 20 MPH.  The official National Weather Service high temperature for the City of Natchitoches, La. today was 46.2°F.  Yesterday's high was 47° as shown the NWS weather summary below.
