Cloudy morning; rainy evening at Natchitoches, La. today...
April 2, 2013 --- A cloudy morning was observed today at Natchitoches, La. on Apr. 2. The official NWS low temperature was 52°F. Yesterday's official NWS high made it to 74.7° or 75°F at Natchitoches. On Tues., April 2nd, the sky was clear to mostly clear during the morning with high clouds (cirrus) moving in from the West during the 1 PM CDT hour. At 3:15 PM CDT, the temperature was 74.9°F. At 3:44 PM CDT, the sky was overcast. Rainfall commenced during the 6:00 PM CDT as mostly light rain was observed. Rain continued during the late evening hours. At 9 PM CDT, the temperature was 63°F and the wind was from the ENE (070 degrees) at 9 MPH (8 KT). The official National Weather Service high today for Natchitoches, La. was 75.9° or 76°F. A stationary front was located just north of Natchitoches and south of Shreveport during the evening. By 11 PM CDT, this front sagged southward and was located south of Natchitoches and just north of Alexandria, La.
